The Spa Manager is responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations of the spa facility at ISSA Resort. This role ensures the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, leads a team of wellness professionals, oversees financial performance, and maintains the highest standards of service, hygiene, and safety. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with a genuine passion for wellness, beauty, and hospitality.
Responsabilities
Spa Operations
Overseeing the daily operations of the spa, including treatment rooms, wellness facilities, fitness areas, and retail spaces.
Ensuring that all spa services, including massages, facials, body treatments, hydrotherapy, and other wellness treatments, are delivered in accordance with the highest professional and hygiene standards.
Managing appointments, reservation systems, and guest flow to optimize operational efficiency and minimize waiting times.
Monitoring and coordinating the maintenance of spa equipment, supplies, and facilities in collaboration with the relevant departments.
Ensuring continuous compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Team Management
Recruiting, training, scheduling, and evaluating Spa team members, including therapists, aestheticians, and receptionists.
Developing and managing staff schedules to ensure consistent operational coverage.
Developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and treatment protocols.
Monitoring team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting performance results to senior management.
Creating and maintaining a positive and motivating work environment aligned with the values of ISSA Resort.
Guest Experience and Service Quality
Implementing and maintaining ISSA Resort’s hospitality and wellness service standards.
Collecting and analyzing guest feedback and recommending continuous improvement initiatives.
Personalizing the spa experience for VIP guests and loyal customers.
Ensuring continuous compliance with safety, confidentiality, and service quality protocols.
Financial and Administrative Management
Developing and managing the annual spa budget, including revenue targets and cost control measures.
Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports.
Monitoring and controlling the department’s operating expenses within the approved budget.
Managing inventory, supplier relationships, and the procurement of spa products and equipment.
Identifying revenue growth opportunities through the development of spa services, retail product sales, packages, and membership programs.
Requirements
Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an advantage.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing a spa or wellness center, preferably within a luxury resort or hotel environment.
Proven experience using spa management software and reservation systems.
Relevant certifications in spa management, wellness therapies, or aesthetics are considered a significant advantage.
Language Skills
Native or fluent proficiency in Romanian.
Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Proficiency in an additional foreign language is considered an advantage.
Technical Competencies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Opera, and hotel and spa management systems.
Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness industry trends, and the protocols associated with therapeutic and beauty services.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
